 Sheena Southall, a 22-year-old student, was keen to test her limit when she agreed to appear on a TV 
show. It has been described as one of the most fascinating shows in the world.
 She saw an advert which said: “Do you want to make some quick cash and do you want to travel?” She 
talked to herself: “Why don't I have a try? I'm always looking for an opportunity to test myself.” So, she 
applied for the job, went for an interview, and got it. At the interview, she explained how she was prepared 
for any challenges. Then, just as she was leaving for Singapore she found out that she was going to become

 The job was challenging. She had to pull herself up and down carrying heavy water buckets. If she didn't

Câu hỏi thuộc phần kiến thức ngữ pháp về so sánh hơn (so sánh giữa 2 đối tượng) và so sánh nhất (so sánh 
từ 3 đối tượng trở lên). Trong câu này, nhân vật “Hong” được so sánh với cả lớp (“her class”) nên cần dùng 
cấu trúc so sánh nhất. Tính từ “tall” (cao) là một tính từ ngắn nên có dạng so sánh nhất là “the tallest” (the + 
adjective + -est).

Câu này nói về kết quả của một nghiên cứu “results of a recent study”. Thông thường, các nghiên cứu tập 
trung vào việc giải thích hoặc đưa ra giải pháp cho một vấn đề nào đó. Vì vậy, động từ “illuminated” với ý 
nghĩa “làm sáng tỏ” hay “giải thích” là đáp án phù hợp nhất.
Câu 12: C.
Hành động “came” (đến) ở thì quá khứ đơn là một hành động ngắn, cắt ngang hành động dài là “watch” 
(xem). Vì vậy, động từ “watch” cần được chia ở thì quá khứ tiếp diễn là “was watching”.
Câu 13: A.
A. fine (tiền phạt – danh từ đếm được)
B. rate (mức lương – danh từ đếm được)
C. money (tiền – danh từ không đếm được)
D. fare (tiền vé xe, tàu,.. – danh từ đếm được)

Câu 14: D.
Động từ “will join” ở thì tương lai đơn cho biết câu này sử dụng cấu trúc as soon as trong tương lai (S1 + 
tương lai đơn + as soon as + S2 + hiện tại đơn/hiện tại hoàn thành). Vì vậy, động từ “finish” phải được chia 
ở thì hiện tại đơn là “finishes” hoặc hiện tại hoàn thành là “has finished”. 
Câu 15: D.

Câu này nói về việc chuẩn bị bữa ăn (“prepares a meal”) nên động từ phù hợp với tân ngữ “table” là “lay”.

Câu 16: A.
Câu này có cấu trúc “It + be + adjective + (for someone) to verb”. Vì vậy, trước tân ngữ “us” phải là giới từ 
“for”.
